On this day in 1964 the hit James Bond movie Goldfinger was released in America (three months later than the UK release). While the film was a resounding success and a highlight of the series, for many the most memorable part was the DB5. Sold in 2010 by RM auctions for $4 million, this DB5 boasts everything from the machine guns to the ejector seat, bullet shield and revolving number plates. This is one of two DB5s used in Goldfinegr and Thunderball. The original was stolen from a hangar in 1997 and hasn't been seen since. If it surfaced now it could easily become the most valuable car in the world.
