David Beckham's customized Range Rover up for auction
A unique Range Rover custom-designed for football hero David Beckham is heading to auction in the U.K next month.
The vehicle, powered by a 4.2 supercharged V8 petrol engine, was designed for Beckham in 2007, and upgraded by Kahn Conversions at a cost of £100,000 ($152,000).
Beckham's desired features included twin rear screens for his sons Brooklyn and Romeo to play their Playstations in the back, along with a bespoke sound system.
The Range Rover also includes personal touched such as hand-stitched quilted leather seats, personalised "Beckham" floor mats, and a plaque bearing the moniker "Designed for David Beckham".
Beckham acquired the car and registered it in the U.K whilst playing for L.A Galaxy in the U.S, and later transferred ownership to his sister Joanne.
It will now be offered for sale with an estimated price of £25,000-£35,000 ($38,110-$53,360).
"Whilst diesel variants of Range Rovers abound, petrol versions are very rare, and this personalised car with its impeccable provenance offers a unique future investment opportunity," said an auction house representative.
"David Beckham is arguably one of the most famous personalities on earth, certainly a titan of sport, and recent sales of celebrity owned cars have far exceeded the true market values of contemporary models."
The Classic Car Auctions sale takes place at the Warrington Exhibition Centre on Saturday December 5.
