Bonhams announces partnership with Ferrari Owners' Club of Great Britain
Bonhams has announced a new partnership with Ferrari Owners' Club of Great Britain.
The deal will see Bonhams become the official auction partner of the club, working in conjunction to promote events and conduct single-marque sales over the next three years.
"We are delighted to welcome Bonhams as our Official Auction Partner and look forward to working with them over the next three years, particularly in developing our new Bonhams Parc Ferme Ferrari racing car feature at our 2016 National Event and EFG Concours," said Ferrari Owners' Club of Great Britain Chairman, Nigel Chiltern-Hunt.
The auction house already enjoys successful partnerships with historic motoring clubs, marques and events including Mercedes-Benz, Goodwood and the Royal Automobile Club, acting as sponsors to the annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
"This is tremendous news for Bonhams and follows on from our strategic partnership with other Clubs," added James Knight, Bonhams Group Director of Motoring. "We look forward to working with the FOC on a number of initiatives and of course offering support to Club members."
In recent years Bonhams has achieved numerous record prices for vintage Ferraris at auction. Notable examples include a Le Mans –winning 1966 Ferrari 275GTB Competizione which sold for US$ 9,405,000 (£6,056,346) in January 2015; a 1954 Ferrari 4.9-litre 375-Plus Sports-Racing Two-Seat Spider Competizione which fetched £10,753,500 in June 2014; and the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta, which became the most valuable car in auction history when it sold in August 2014 for sold for $38,115,000 (£22,843,633).
