Barrett-Jackson is set for a return to the South Florida Fairgrounds next month, with a line-up of fantastic Fords.

Amongst the highlights will be a matching-numbers 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429, one of only 271 examples finished in Wimbledon White.

The highly rare car comes complete with original factory options including Traction-Lok differential, 4-speed close-ratio transmission, power front disc brakes, deluxe interior, functional front spoiler and completion suspension.

Having been fully rebuilt by model specialists in August 2016, the car will now hit the auction block with hopes of repeating the success of last year's sale – when another Boss 429 led the auction with a price of $550,000.

"After a Boss 429 ended up as the top seller at our 2016 Palm Beach auction, I’m excited to have another fine example among the great lineup of Fords this year," said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson.

Another standout lot will be a "killer" 1967 Ford Mustang Custom GT Fastback owned by NFL wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Powered by a 545ci V8 electronic fuel-injected engine and a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission, the car comes with a stunning red leather interior, bucket seats and custom door panels.

Further notable lots will include a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, powered by a 351ci Windsor engine firing 450 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission; a custom 1968 Mustang Custom Fastback powered by a 428/335ci Cobra Jet V8 engine and 4-speed Toploader manual transmission; and a classic 1947 Ford Custom Woody Wagon known as 'Kahuna', featuring all-original Ford steel and a 3-inch chop-top built by Doug Carr at Woodn’ Carr.

"We’re proud to bring some of the best in Ford design and performance to our 15th Annual Palm Beach Auction," said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson.

"Whether a custom Fastback Mustang or a vintage Woody Wagon, our docket of Ford-powered vehicles represent an incredible part of American automotive history and will make excellent additions to any collection."

The Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Sale takes place on April 6-8.
