The Canadian giant fired the first salvo when it announced that it would sell the Harburg collection of historic racers. But the Europeans are fighting back with Bonhams fielding a one-of-33 car 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K Cabriolet that has been in a Swiss collection since 1969 and is expected to make a whopping €2-2.5million.

RM has a pretty fine track record when it comes to making the big bucks on motors.
