Though many followed none ever bested the 1967 Shelby GT500. Even a year later in the '68 model they restyled the front and rear and managed to make it look more bulbous, and less desirable, making the '67s with the fastback the ones to go for. This particular one was owned by one family from the '70s until 2005 and it's recently undergone a comprehensive rebuild and is fitted with a 428 Police Interceptor V8 engine. The glove box has been signed by Carroll Shelby too, for that extra bit of provenance. This one is heading to auction at Mecum in December, which should give you plenty of time to work out which member of your family to sell to medical science to pay for it.
