An all but forgotten unique way of taking photos is the key behind how this Victorian camera works. The Wet plate technique involves pouring collodion onto glass or metal plates, which are then sensitised in silver nitrate to make them light sensitive, according to the Daily Mail. It's always nice to see such an old camera still being used for its original purpose, it certainly beats being in an attic for 70 years.
