Doyle New York are to auction a three volume first edition of Oliver Twist or the Parish Boy's Progress on the 9th of April. The book was printed in 1838 but was considerably rushed noting the author as 'Boz' and with the suppressed "Fireside" version of the Rose Maylie and Oliver plate at the end of the third volume. Dickens was unhappy with these errors thus they were corrected about a week after publication, so comparatively few examples are found in this initial state. $15,000-20,000.
