Swann Auction Galleries will auction an extremely rare first edition of Moby-Dick on November 21st. It is one of only 60 copies that survived a fire at the book's publishers and is recognized by white, rather than orange end papers. It looks like a remarkable investment opportunity for the right buyer as it is currently expected to go for as little as $35,000. I'll go out on a limb and make a prediction that it eventually sells fort almost twice that prediction. Watch this space :-)

Well split my lungs! Should definitely make more than $35,000 - it's a masterpiece.

It does seem more than a little undervalued. It will certainly sell at the high end of the estimate.
