A beautiful first trade edition of A House of Pomegranates by Oscar Wilde is heading to auction with Doyle New York. The wonderful cover was designed by Charles Ricketts and C.H. Shannon and is clearly very influenced by the aesthetic movement. The edition was published in London by James R. Osgood, McIlvaine in 1891 and could bring $500 - $800 to auction.
