A small quantity of Australian ephemera, late 19th and early 20th century, including two scrap albums, circa 1890s, with amateur watercolours and pencil sketches of Sydney Harbour, horses, houses and birds, etc., both with old damp-staining, ownership name of G. Burgoyne, each approximately 12 x 18cm, plus a manuscript cashbook for Fred James Marshall & Co., Drapers, Adelaide, South Australia, 1886, Diary of Miss Dorothy Rook, 1959-61, describing her five months spent on Fisher Island off Flinders Island in Bass Strait, with description of many of the inhabitants, etc., 12 albumen print cartes-de-visite portraits by Launceston and Hobart Town photographers, autographs of Dame Nellie Melba, Sybil Thorndike, various printed leaflets and guidebooks of the 19th and 20th century (a small carton) Dominic Winter's Printed Books and Maps Auction October 2015 Wednesday, 14th October 2015 Estimate: £200-300
