Place Published: New York. Publisher: Macmillan Company. Date Published: 1916. Description: vi, 84 + (6) ad pp. (8vo) original maroon cloth with white cloth spine, front cover lettered in white with white border around lettering, spine in black. First Edition. One of the scarcest of Jack London first editions; only 1350 copies printed. With publisher's spine imprint reading "Macmillan" in a single line of type and without the gilt top edge. This variant not described by BAL or Sisson & Martens, but it is described by Russ Kingman in his Collector's Guide to Jack London First Editions. BAL 11964; Sisson & Martens p. 86; Kingman 41.
