Lot 666: Clarke (Harry, illust.). Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen, 1st edition, George G. Harrap, [1916], 16 tipped-in coloured plates, with captioned tissue guards to each, 24 uncoloured plates, and other decorations to text, occasional very light spotting (contents generally clean), top edge gilt, original decorated cloth, very slightly rubbed and spine lightly discoloured, 4to, together with Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe, illustrated by Harry Clarke, 1st edition, George G. Harrap, [1919], 24 tipped-in colour plates, uncoloured plates and decorations to text, small circular blindstamp to title 'for review with compliments', top edge gilt, remainder rough-trimmed, original black decorated cloth gilt, very slightly rubbed, with small snag to head of spine and horizontal tear towards centre of spine, plus one or two other small marks, 4to, plus The Fairy Tales of Charles Perrault, illustrated by Harry Clarke, 1s Dominic Winter's Children’s & Illustrated Books Auction June 2015 Thursday, 11th June 2015 Estimate: £300-500
