Description: ix, (1), 337, (3) + (6) ad pp. Color frontispiece. (8vo) original red-orange cloth lettered in gilt and black, decorated in black. First Edition. Inscribed on the front free endpaper by Charmian London: "Dear Johannes - He would have loved you to have this boo;, and so I give it you with his love as usual. Charmian. Glen Ellen, September 3, 1917." a photograph of Jack London, signed by him, affixed to front pastedown (Charmian has penned the date Nov. 17, 16 beside the image).
