Lot 466: Dodgson (Charles Lutwidge). Curiosa Mathematica. Part I, A New Theory of Parallels, 2nd edition, 1889, diagrammatic frontispiece, illustrations to text, advert leaf at rear, ink stamp 'Lent by Macmillan & Co.' to upper margin of title (and larger blindstamp of the same to upper cover), IGG bookplate to front pastedown (obscuring lending library printed label), original brown cloth lettered in black, a little loss to spine, sticky back plastic covering, 8vo. First published in 1888, the second edition is arguably even rarer. A third edition with further amendments was published in 1890 while Part II was published in 1893. (1)
