Lot 338: Homer [Homerou Ilias e tes autes polyplokos anagnosis...], 3 parts in 2 vols., [Strasbourg]: [Wolfius Caephalaeus], 1534, pagination vol. 1: 277,[3] leaves and vol. 2: 251,[61] leaves, title pages and colophon transliterated from the Greek, historiated woodcut border to vol. 1 title, woodcut printer's device to colophons, lives by Herodotus without pagination at end of second volume after the colophon, occasional light toning, late 18th century half calf gilt, green straight grained paper sidings to boards with gilt decorated borders, joints cracked and some wear to extremities, 8vo. This two volume edition of Homer was reprinted from Lonicer's 1525 edition.
