The Ancient and Present State of Glocestershire, 1st ed., 1712, engraved portrait frontispiece (close-trimmed to image and relaid), contemporary signature of Robert Codrington to title, eight untitled engraved plates of coats of arms of Gloucestershire families (including that of Codrington of Codrington, few plates lightly cropped at foot), double-page engraved county map, plan of the Gloucester City, plate of the West Prospect of Gloucester and North West prospect of Gloucester Cathedral, plus sixty-one double-page 'bird's eye' views of the seats of the nobility and gentry by Johannes Kip (complete), all plates neatly reguarded, occasional minor marks to text, few leaves & plates slightly frayed to margins and some neatly strengthened with archival tissue, light worm trail to lower blank margins of few leaves, endpapers renewed, contemporary speckled calf, rebacked and corners repaired, worn at foot of spine, Dominic Winter's Printed Books, Maps & Ephemera Auction June 2015 Wednesday, 10th June 2015 Estimate: £2000-2500
