Notebook measures 19x11.5 cm (7½x4½"), cloth.Fascinating little notebook detailing the physical make-up of the 2141-ton ship of the Pacific Coast Steamship Company, its equipment, maintenance, and other details. A typed note at front, signed by a port caption, states "This book is to be a record of examination of standard rigging, boom guy pennants, etc. An examination should be made at least once a month of above equipment... This book should be kept in the Chief Mate's room at all times, and if he is relieved by any other person, it is to be turned over to his successor." Condition: Normal wear from usage; very good.
