Atabey 308; Blackmer 441: "Dalloway spent 18 months as chaplain with Liston's embassy at the Porte (1794-6). He travelled to Constantinople overland in 1794 with Liston's entourage, which included John Sibthorp, author of the Flora Graeca, and Gaetano Mercati who became Liston's draughtsman".
