Description: [ii], 5, [1 blank] pp. Woodcut illustration on title page. Self wrappers. The Bartholomew Fair was one of London's pre-eminent summer Charter fairs. A charter for the fair was granted to Rahere by Henry I to fund the Priory of St. Bartholomew; and from 1133 to 1855 it took place each year on 24 August. The present is a circa 1816 reprinting of the 1641 edition. See Lowndes, Volume 1, Page 121. Condition: Paper browned and chipped, name on title page splitting on spine fold; good.
