Lot 131: Bracebridge (Selina, Mrs Charles Holt). Notes Descriptive of a Panoramic Sketch of Athens, Taken May, 1839, Sold in Aid of the Funds of the London Benevolent Repository, published W.H. Dalton, 1839, 8 pages text, large folding lithographed panorama, printed in three sections, 26.5 x 303cm, split along folds and now in six pieces, but complete with rubbing to some folds, loosely contained with text in original cloth boards, linen hinge at rear present, rubbed frayed on spine, slim 4to. Originally published in 1836 in aid of the fund for building the Anglican Church (now St Paul's) in Athens, this edition comprises an entirely new lithograph from a drawing made from a different position, near the church of St Demetrius the Bombardier.
