Description: viii, (2), 405, (3) + (6) ad pp. (8vo) original dark blue cloth lettered in white with cover pictorial design in light blue and yellow. First Edition. Inscribed by London on flyleaf for the Belgian War relief effort: "Belgium the Heroic:- Who madly, gloriously, sacrificed herself on the firing line that the Folk-idea might be saved from under the steel hoops of the King-idea. Jack London. Glen Ellen, Calif. Feb. 14, 1915." A copy photograph of London tipped to the front pastedown. Stories of the South Seas. BAL 11928; Sisson & Martens, p. 5.
