On 4 sheets joined together. 91x129 cm (35?x50?") plus decorative border, folding into gilt-lettered blindstamped cloth covers 23x12 cm (9x4?"). Large, detailed and quite rare folding map of Mexico, in Spanish, at a time of increasing U.S. investment, with railroads, both completed and projected, shown, with indication by color whether narrow or wide gauge. The scale is about 40 miles to an inch. Only one copy is listed in OCLC/WorldCat, at Harvard University. A little rubbing to folder extremities; some darkening from the glue where the four sheets are joined, a few short splits where folds intersect; still overall in fine condition, clean and bright.
