(Folio) 32x20 cm (12 3/4 x8"), early full paneled calf, morocco spine label lettered in gilt. Second Edition, Corrected and Amended. Wonderful 17th century printing of Aesop's fables, in Roger L'Estrange's esteemed translation, which did much to further their popularity in English. Armorial bookplate of Irish satirist and poet Richard Brinsley Sheridan on front pastedown; later owner's bookplate on free endpaper. Wing A-707. Condition: Covers detached; repair to frontispiece; light foxing; internally very good.
