Go Set a Watchman sells 100,000 copies in a day
Harper Lee's 'Go Set a Watchman' has sold over 100,000 copiesin just one day in the UK.
Despite mixed reviews from critics and an ambivilant reception from fans of Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird' the book managed to sell 105,000 editions on its first day of sale.
While still an impressive figure, the numbers are nothing compared to some other big name releases of the past. The final Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold a staggering 2,652,656 copies in a single day back in 2007 while Fifty Shades of Gray sold 664,000 copies in a single week back in 2012.
