Bronte Society buys Charlotte Bronte paintings
The Bronte Society have bought two of Charlotte Bronte's watercolour paintings which it plans on displaying in the Bronte Parsonage Museum next year.
The paintings have only been recently discovered but are known to have been connected to the Sidgwick family for whom Charlotte worked as a governess in 1839.
The paintings will go on display next year as the Society celebrates Charlotte's 200th birthday.
