Description: Four preliminary leaves and 51 original lithograph advertisements by noted artists. 31x23 cm (12 1/4x9") color lithograph wrappers, plastic comb binding. No. 1334 of 200 copies. First Edition. Rare fund-raising work from the first year of this annual event that ran from 1950 through 1958. Conceived by Julio de Diego as a medium for advertisers in sympathy with the ideals of Artists Equity Association. The artists were granted complete freedom of expression by the advertisers and the result is a unique collection of lithographs. The artists include Milton Avery, Chaim Gross, Reginald Marsh, Raphael Soyer, Ben Shahn, and many others.
