While worth comparatively little money (this example is expected to sell for around €800) banknotes from the Ming Dynasty never cease to fascinate. These notes were first issued in 1368 and remained until 1644. Some of the oldest examples of paper money known, the 1-Kuan note is a hugely important piece to philatelists.
