Iraq 50 fils note sells for $60,000 at Spink

A Government of Iraq 50 fils note from 1944 sold for £38,000 ($61,659) at Spink's World Banknotes auction on October 2. The banknote features a portrait of King Faissall II as a young child to the left and a perforated "specimen" punched at the bottom. It has been described as being in excellent condition and extremely rare.
