1909 $10 Chinese Banknote At Auction
China was a very different place 100 years ago and you can get a real feel for that in their banknotes, as indeed you can most items from Asia from around the turn of the century. Chinese currency from around that time is endlessly fascinating however and could make for a wonderful thing to base your collection around.
While the design on the note is clearly Chinese, the notes themselves were actually printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co of London. The note is particularly rare and as such is hoping to fetch $2,500-3,000 at auction.
