Night Vision Aviation Goggles on eBay
A number of optical/ night vision equipment has gone 'missing' and turned up on eBay and Craigslist recently, though I doubt this helmet is among them. It is however hugely surprising to see one listed for pulic sale at all since they don't really have much of a practical application in a civilian role.
I guess they're perfect if you like to go crop-dusting at night, but otherwise they might be $16,000 worth of overkill. It's probably why they don't usually make the armed forces buy their own equipment and uniform. Still, if you have any need for this for some 'extra curricular activities' then they are in fact available to buy online. Apparently.
