Dambusters Bomb Sight at Auction

The only surviving bomb sight from the Dambusters raid is heading to auction and could fetch as much as £25,000. The sight was used by bomb aimer John Fort aboard the fifth aircraft to attack the Mohne dam. made from mahogany, the sight is the only one to have been kept after the raid, which saw the famous 'bouncing bomb' being used to flood the Ruhr. The important piece of military and aviation history is to be auctioned by J.P. Humbert on the 20th of January.
