Vintage Triumph Bonneville Motorcycles are original Triumph motorcycles first produced in the late 1950s.

Brief history and description

Triumph Bonneville is a range of British-made motorcycles, which were produced first by Triumph Engineering (which closed in 2001) and subsequently by Triumph Motorcycles.

The motorcycles first went into production in 1959, where they were unveiled at the Earls Court Bike Show. The first edition of Triumph Bonneville motorcycles was the T120.

The motorcycles were manufactured in three separate cycles, the first from 1959-1983, the second from 1985-1988, and the current cycle from 2001, though these models are a complete redesign of the original Triumph Bonneville motorcycles.

Guide for collectors

Vintage Triumph Bonneville motorcycles have featured prominently at mainstream and specialist auction houses, often selling for high prices. They have also appeared at online auctioneers such as eBay, though prospective collectors are advised to carefully assess the working order and authenticity of the items available online before purchasing, so as to avoid disappointment.

The Motorbike Search Engine website features additional information about the history and specifications of Triumph Bonneville motorcycles, as well as information on the correct identification of models from this range.
