Lot 58: The Beaulieu Encyclopaedia of the Automobile, published in 2000 in two volumes (Vol 1 A - L), (Vol 2 M - Z) by The Stationery Office, London, Editor in Chief Nick Georgano, foreword by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, each volume 11 x 8? inches (28 x 22cm), profusely illustrated in colour and monochrome, over 1800 pages in total, and about 1.5 million words of text, giving a detailed background on every make and marque of most known motor-cars, included is the companion volume Encyclopaedia of Automobile Coachbuilding, 2001, 390pp., all with dust jackets and in very good, clean condition. These massive tomes were claimed to be 'The most comprehensive book ever written about the world of cars and set to become a must-have for anyone with a love of motoring'. (3)
