British Car Owners Club Paraphernalia
This automobilia seems to have come from a number of owner's clubs judging by the emblems on the items. However considering the fact the one most common piece of advice relating to driving is "Don't drink and drive" it's amazing how many of the pieces are drinking paraphernalia.
Some of the items kind of make sense; if you have an MG, you probably roll your own cigarettes, much like you'll fix your own car when it's broken at the side of the road- hence the tin. Aston Martin owners prefer things to be done for them and well, hence the cigarette case. The cocktail shaker? I'm not sure. But I'd be willing to bet that it came with a Series III E-Type Jaguar.
Also worth noting how many of the hipflasks have MG badges on them. Someone should have a word. The whole set are up for auction at Historics at Brooklands on the 7th of March.
