1967 Le Mans Start Photograph

This is a really wonderful picture of the start of the 1967 Le Mans 24 Hours. 1967 would have been one of the last years when drivers had to run to their cars, something that I'd love to see happen again, but sadly it's unlikely. 1967 was also notable for the reason that when Dan Gurney won in his MKIV Ford GT40, he sprayed champagne over Enzo Ferrari, Henry Ford, Carroll Shelby- it was the first time a driver had sprayed a bottle of champagne in victory. The photo is valued at €15-30 by the auctioneers Aguttes, but to the right person I'd say it's priceless!
