A George Washington signed letter to Brigadier General John Lacey, Jr. Headquarters, Valley Forge: 11 April 1778 is being sold at Doyle New York Auctions. The letter has been twice signed by Washington and gives interesting insight into the presidents mental state whilst he was encamped at Valley Forge. Excellent historically significant piece with an estimate of $50,000 - $100,000. To be sold on the 9th of April.
