Ortega Refers To His Correspondent'S Letter Just Received And Comments How Sorry He Is To Learn That Most Of The Dried Plants He Did Send To Abbot Prevost To France Reched Him In Poor Conditions, And States 'Please Let Me Know Again Which Are The Plants You Are Interested In, And I Will Send Samples Of All The Ones We Have At The Royal Garden, And Let Me Know Which Way Should I Send Them To You This Time. All The Cuttings We Have Here, Same As The Onions, All Are At Your Disposal, And As Soon As I Get Your List I Will Enclose A Myrtus Pimenta Brochure To You, Which I Have Just Presented To The King'. Professor Ortega Continues Reporting On Different New Plants And Fruits Discovered And Identified With Their Names And Provenance And Further Writes 'I Do Not Know Anyone In Particular In This Country Collecting Insects And Butterflies'. Ortega Concludes With A Postscriptum In His Hand 'Knight Serres, Who You Recommended, Kissed The King'S Hand And Obtained The Post He Wished To Get'. Some Overall Age Wear, With A Small Hole And Tear To The Fourth Page As A Result Of The Opening Of The Letter, Not Affecting The Text Or Signature. G.
