Lot 898: Hahn Otto: (1879-1968) German Chemist Nobel Prize In Chemistry, 1944, For His Discovery Of Nuclear Fission. Considered "The Father Of Nuclear Chemistry" And Regarded As One Of The Most Significant Chemists Of All Time. An Interesting T.Q.S., Otto Hahn, One Page, 4To, Gottingen, 27Th January 1951, In German. Hahn States 'I Was Always Lucky In My Life And Didn'T Experience Many Disappointments, Therefore My Nature Was Always Optimistic. I Think That If I Face People Friendly And With Confidence, They Will Respond In The Same Way, And I Have Been Successful With This.' And Continues 'I Want To Believe That The Fortune Of Single Nations And Of Mankind Can Be Better Guided, With More Confidence In Each Other And Goodwill And Not With Mistrust And Misunderstanding.'
