Lot 847: TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Boston American League Baseball Company letterhead, May 20, 1936. Letter to John B. McNamara, in full: "I am awfully sorry I failed to call you again and have you over. Mr. Yawkey wanted to meet you and talk with you, but a multitude of things has last day here, and the club at home, made me overlook it. I am enclosing herewith a pass for you for this coming Saturday and Sunday, and I hope while you are here you will make it a point to stop up in the office to say hello to me." Collins adds a brief postscript at the conclusion. Intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through two letters of the signature) and some scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition.
