The Document, Entirely In Priestley'S Hand, Is A Receipt Issued To Mr. Johnson, A Bookseller, For The Sum Of Four Shillings On Account. Some Foxing And Neatly Laid Down, About Vg The Present Receipt Was Almost Undoubtedly Issued To Joseph Johnson (1738-1809) English Bookseller And Publisher, A Close Friend Of Priestley. The Two Men Met Each Year In London For Consultations And To Attend Meetings Of The Royal Society.
