Lot 667: French writer and poet (1896–1966) best known as the founder of Surrealism. ALS in French, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.25 x 7, January 22, 1933. Letter to René Laporte, who supported Breton financially. The poet asks him to advance his January payment as the start of the year is always "difficult," and asks if Laporte has received his article on "Le Rouge et le Noir." Breton also declares that his life "continues to be so unbalanced." In fine condition.
