Lot 641: ALS, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 3.75 x 6, personal letterhead, December 3, 1913. Letter to John Pearson, the house master of Kipling's son John at Wellington College, in part: "Just got back from town after taking John to the doctor for the third time! He says that the boy can't go back to school yet as there is a local poisoning consequent on a discharge from the nose after the operation, which is infective. We have not been able to get rid of this trouble and I hope to take him up again on Friday…Forgive this scrawl but I am a bit tired after doctors &c." In fine condition, with mild foxing to last page.
