Lot 625: German architect, art critic, and professor of architecture (1803–1879) who designed and built the Semper Opera House in Dresden. ALS signed "Semper," three pages on two adjoining sheets, 8 x 10, June 15, 1868. Untranslated letter to a baron regarding the employment of a protege. In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds (horizontal fold passing through the signature) and a light block of toning over most of the first page.
