A signed 8 x 10 inch photograph of Colonel Sanders dated 25/01/1972. Inscribed to the left of the image. Sanders writes (sic): "To Mrs Blacks 2nd Grade Class/ With every good wish/ Sincerely/ Col Harland Sanders". Colonel Harlan Sanders (1890-1980) was the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), one of the world's largest fast food franchises. Sanders started the business in the midst of the Great Depression, selling his famous secret recipe fried chicken from the roadside. Sanders continues to feature in his iconic white suit in KFC's branding.
