ALS, one page both sides, 4.5 x 7, Sheen Lodge letterhead, April 25, 1866. Letter to a friend, in part: "Accept my best thanks for the tickets you so kindly sent for Monday's 'Philharmonic'; I shall gladly avail myself of them…I should be very happy to see you at dinner at the above address, at 5 p.m. (an usual Sunday hour), but I hope the weather may be such as to tempt you to start by an early train from Waterloo Sta." In fine condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature).
