Rubinstein, Three Pages, 8Vo, Baden Baden, 11Th June 1864, To An Unidentified Concertmaster (€™Lieber Herr Conzertmeister’) In Leipzig, In German. Rubinstein Informs His Correspondent That A Gesellschaft (Russische Musikgesselschaft) Is Supporting Him With A Scholarship Of 2000 Silbergulden And A Further 600 Silbergurden For A Trip To Moscow. And Whilst The Concertmaster Is In St Petersburg And Moscow During 1865 He Will Have To Give Lectures At The Conservatory And Also Play In Different Concerts. Rubinstein Underlines That He Can‘T Tell His Correspondent Anything About The Work At The Moscow Theatre Because Their Decisions Are Always Very Short Term, And Suggests That In Order To Save His Job The Concertmaster Takes Leave For One Year From 31St December 1864 To 1St January 1866. In Concluding Rubinstein Remarks That The Support Of The Gesselschaft Is Only For One Year And That He Would Appreciate A Quick Reply So That He Can Make The Necessary Arrangements In St. Petersburg And Moscow. A Couple Of Small, Neat Tears To The Edges And Some Overall Foxing, Only Slightly Affecting The Text And Signature.
