The company was controversially forced into bankruptcy in 1961. TLS in German, signed "Carl F. W. Borgward," one page, 7 x 8.75, personal letterhead, December 11, 1941. Untranslated letter offering condolences to Wilhelm Kissel, chairman of the board of Daimler-Benz, on the death of his son Hans Werner. In fine condition. A desirable association between two automotive giants of the period.
