Lot 228: Signed book: The United Nations: Design for Peace. First edition. NY: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1960. Softcover, 6 x 9, 144 pages. Signed inside in fountain pen and ballpoint by seven United Nations Secretary Generals, each adding the date, with six signing in succession inside the front cover. Signers are: Trygve Lie (on a slip affixed to the first free end page), Dag Hammarskjold, U Thant, Kurt Waldheim, Javier Perez de Cuellar, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, and Kofi Annan. Edgewear and somewhat fragile binding, otherwise fine condition.
