In the early 60's, I was friends with a local group, called the Dixie Dean Combo...The singer of the group, Brian Meacham, starting courting a girl named Janice Nicholls. Janice was a regular panelist on the TV show...She invited Brian and Dixie Dean (Manager of the band) to the recording of the show on Sunday 14 April 1963. Dixie had just started work for a new car wash in Willenhall, West Midlands so he promised everyone at work that he would try to get the Beatles autographs and any others...Dixie, true to his word, did get the Beatles, Del Shannon and Bert Weedon's autographs and he gave one of each to me."
